Net Knowledge (ABN 55 038 432 725) is a small data consultancy based in Melbourne. We take privacy seriously, both on this website and in the research we do for registries. This page explains what we collect and why.

This website

• We don't use cookies, tracking scripts or advertising tools.
• Like any website, our server keeps standard access logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use these only to keep the site secure and running, and delete them after a limited period.
• Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting this site doesn't send any requests to Google or other third parties.

When you email us

If you contact us, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply and manage any work that follows. We don't add you to mailing lists or share your details with anyone else.

Our research

Some of our work involves collecting data about domain names at scale, through web crawls and RDAP lookups. We apply the same care there:

• Crawls and lookups are paced so they never burden the systems we collect from, and stay within each service's published limits.
• We don't store personal information about domain registrants.
• We only report aggregated figures, such as totals by country, registry or registrar.

Client data

Data that registries and organisations share with us for their platforms is used only for the work we've agreed to do, is stored securely, and is never shared with other clients or third parties without permission.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email patrick@netknowledge.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.
